Clark Middle BASH set for Aug. 10
The second BASH (Back-to-School Annual Summer Happening) for Clark Middle School will be Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in front of the school.
Students can listen to the DJ, meet their teachers, and get their schedules. Free cotton candy, popcorn, or snow cones will be offered to students of Clark Middle.
GTE/Sylvania/Osram retirees lunch planned Thursday
Winchester GTE/Sylvania/Osram retirees will meet for lunch Thursday, Aug. 4, 11:30 a.m at The Jade Garden in the Kroger Plaza.
Habitat house in Berea to be dedicated Saturday
BEREA — Habitat for Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties will have a home dedication for Lisa and Kaylee Hall at 406 Brown St., Berea, at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Christian ministry is also currently building a house of Diane and Princeton Reese at the corner of Third and Joe Gilliam streets in Winchester.
This is the 20th anniversary of Habitat in Clark County. The two county affiliates merged in the last decade.
Horse team to ride in parade Saturday
The Clark County 4-H Drill team will be riding in the annual Clark County Fair Saturday. The parade is at 11 on Main Street and kicks off the fair, which will be held at the fairgrounds on Iron Works Road (Ky. 15).
GRC schedule pick-up
Students at George Rogers Clark can pick-up their schedules and pay the $65 fee for the 2011-2012 school year Aug. 4, 8 and 9.
Senior schedules will be available Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. Junior schedules will be available Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. and sophomore schedules will be available Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the school.
