— Compassionate Friends support group meeting for bereaved parents, Hospice East, Shoppers Drive, 7 p.m. Parents who have lost a child at any age from any cause are invited to attend, as well as family and friends. Adults only.
— Annual Back-to-School Readifest, 6-7:30 p.m., College Park, open to all Winchester and Clark County children ages pre-k through 12th grade. Limited free school supplies and backpacks will be distributed. New or transfer students may register.
— Retired School Lunchroom Managers luncheon, 11:30 a.m., Golden Corral.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 3

— Triple Fit aerobics class, Winchester YMCA, 5:45 a.m. Class is free for YMCA members and $5 for non-members.
— Artists’ reception for Hannah McClure students at Bluegrass Heritage Museum, 217 S. Main St., 2 p.m. Eleven students created watercolors depicting early Clark County.
— TLC meeting at Kathy’s in Clay City. Meet at McDonald’s at noon to carpool.

THURSDAY, AUG. 4

— Water aerobics, Winchester YMCA, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Class is free for members and $5 for non-members.
— Tennis lessons at College Park, 9-10 a.m. for beginners and 7-8 p.m. for intermediate lessons. Every Monday and Thursday through Aug. 4. To register, call 755-9554 or visit the Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation Office, 15 Wheeler Ave.

— Winchester GTE/Sylvania/Osram retirees will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Jade Garden in the Kroger Plaza.
— Senior schedule pick-up/fee collection at George Rogers Clark High School, 2-6 p.m. Fees are $65 and any other outstanding obligations. Students are asked to complete parking pass applications and drug consent forms prior to their scheduled pick-up day. Schedules will not be released if all outstanding fees are not paid.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

SATURDAY, AUG. 6

— Winchester-Clark County Farmers Market open every Saturday through October, 9 a.m.-noon, in front of Tractor Supply on the Bypass.
— Trapp School alumni reunion, 2 p.m., Trapp Elementary School. Dinner at 5 p.m. for $10, silent auction and t-shirt sales. All proceeds will go to fund a $1,00 scholarship for a Trapp School alum.
— Rockwell Winchester reunion potluck, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Clark County Fish and Game Club, 1255 Waterworks Road. Lunch will be served at noon.
