A local food vendor will be on site to sell refreshments, and the Boy Scouts will be selling popcorn. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable item to benefit the Wilmore-High Bridge Community Service Center or the county animal shelter.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will feature a HG: cake decorating class Saturday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m.

MONDAY
— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
