Engine House Deli jam session

The Engine House Deli  will host and jam session and open mic night at 7 p.m. Local artists Hannah Mae Rector and Tommy and Lisa Rector will perform. Preview book sale

The annual Friends of the Library preview book sale will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave.
The sale is only open to the Friends of the Library members, but interested parties can join at the door.

County Public Library’s Local History Week

For the ninth year, the Clark County Public Library will host Local History Week. Dinner is provided each night at 6:15 for $6. Programs start at 8 p.m. A ticket must be purchased for each night’s program and tickets will be available Monday, Aug. 8. Programs include a portrayal of Dr. Ephraim McDowell on Aug. 29, a discussion of Kentucky horses in the Civil War with Maryjean Walls on Aug. 30, a portrayal of Orphan Brigade survivor Johnny Green on Aug. 31 and a portrayal of John Jacob Niles on Sept. 1. John Michael Montgomery’s Country-Fest at Lykins Park

The two-day concert event at Lykins Park will feature Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen, John Michael Montgomery, Colt Ford and Exile. Tickets are $20 for one day or $30 for both days. Children 10 and under receive free admission.
There will be food, fireworks, arts and crafts and games.
Campsites and RV parking are available.

Class of 1981 reunion

The George Rogers Clark High School class of 1981 will host a reunion at the Winchester Country Club. Tickets are $30 for singles and $50 for couples. For more information, contact Melanie Henry at 744-5775 or Sheri Thiry at 771-6876.

The Winchester-Clark County Farmers Market will be open every Saturday through October from 9 a.m. to noon in front of Tractor Supply on the Bypass.
