Anna Mary Johnson Brookshire of Clark County, 97, widow of Garland Cecil Brookshire passed away at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
She was born on June 17, 1914 in Clark County to the late Clifton and Mamie Goolman Johnson.  
She was a member of Allansville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include seven children, Vivian Williams, Arthur (Joyce) Brookshire, Garland (Nancy) Brookshire, Ray A. Brookshire, Ronald (Sherry) Brookshire and Mamie Hall of Clark County, and Carolyn Sue (Stanley) Noble of Lexington.
Also, 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, plus several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Other survivors are two brothers, Millard (Mary Frances) Johnson of Winchester and Leon (Pauline) Johnson of Vevay, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Cora Haggard, Mable Johnson, Gladys Shelton; and four brothers, Eldwood, David, Charlie and Clarence Johnson.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Scobee Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Ray Coates and Brother Lee Cruse.  
Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.  
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
