East Jessamine picked up its first win of the season on Friday night, beating Spencer County 29-20.

The Jags offense was led by Cameron Thomas who scored four times. He found the end zone twice in the first quarter. His first score came on the ground and his second came on a 79-yard pass play. Cody Garrett hit Thomas on a short pass to the left side and Thomas used his speed and agility to find the end zone.

Thomas rushed for another touchdown in the second quarter and broke a 19-yard run in the third to put East ahead 27-13. Seth Hunt barrelled his way into the end zone on a two-point conversion to make it 29-13.

Both of Spencer County's touchdowns came on big plays. The first was a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown on East's second possession of the game. Late in the third quarter, the Bears returned a punt 72 yards to make it a 29-20 game.
