Nellie Glasscock Boler: Sept. 7, 2011

Nellie Glasscock Boler of Lexington, born Sept. 7, 1943 in Maysville, died Sept. 4.

She was the daughter of the late Lionel and Virginia Glasscock. Nellie was a member of Southland Christian Church, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Married Aug. 28, 1965, she is survived by her husband Virgil Hunter Boler; daughter, Jennifer Anne Boler; grandson, Ethan Hunter Boler-Hatfield, all of Lexington; and brothers Ronnie (Janet) Glasscock and Bill (Betty Jane) Glasscock of Winchester.

Nellie retired from IBM in 1992 with 30 years of service and 10 years service with Dr. Jayson Barker.
Pallbearers will be Jay Waldron, David Glasscock, Will Glasscock, Cole Glasscock, Ethan Hunter Boler, Jim Keller and Duane Kinslow.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Nellie’s name can be sent to the Southland Christian Church Building fund, PO box 23338, Lexington, KY 40523-3338, Lexington Christian Academy, 450 West Reynolds Road, Lexington, KY 40503 or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513.

Funeral services will held immediately following visitation with Jon Weece and David Scalf officiating.
Interment will be at the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, KY, 40392.

After interment there will be a gathering at 218 Al-Fan Court, Winchester, KY 40391 for food and a celebration of Nellie’s life.
