Raymond Moore: Sept. 10, 2011

Raymond Moore, 95, widower of Lula Myrtle Florence Moore, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10 at the VA Medical Center.
A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late Arch and Eliza Bush Moore.
Raymond was a retired Columbia Gas customer service representative with 35 years of service. Ray also was an Army veteran of World War II, and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Ray (Ann) Moore of South Carolina and Gene Moore of Winchester; two granddaughters, Kellie Marklin and Julie Moore; three half-brothers, Herbert, Shirley and Bradley Moore; two half-sisters, Velma Nixon and Opal Greene; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Scobee Funeral Home by Ron Montgomery.
Burial will follow in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
