Water advisory still in effect in Mercer

HARRODSBURG — The boil-water advisory for the city of Harrodsburg and North Mercer Water District will be extended until further notice. Due to an inconclusive sample result, the advisory will remain in effect. Another set of samples was collected and submitted to a lab Wednesday afternoon, but it will take 24 hours to get the results. If all samples are clear, they will be sent to the state Division of Water, which will actually lift the advisory, city officials said.
