Homecoming Sunday at Bethlehem Christian Church

Bethlehem Christian Church will host homecoming services Sept. 18 Sunday school begins at 10:15 a.m. and morning worship begins at 11 a.m. A potluck dinner will be served following the services.

Blood drive at First Presbyterian

The First Presbyterian Church, 140 Windridge Drive, will host a blood drive Sunday.
The drive will be in the church fellowship hall from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Special events at Corinthian Baptist

Corinthian Baptist Church, 37 Fifth St., will host a special Choir Day musical Sunday at 4 p.m.
The church also will observe Senior Saints Day Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Winfred Smith will be the guest preacher.

Calvary Baptist Church, 204 French Ave., will host homecoming services Sunday at 11 a.m.
Dinner will be served following the service at noon.

Broadway Missionary Baptist Church celebrates anniversary

Broadway Missionary Baptist will host a special service in honor of the church’s 122nd anniversary Sunday.
Morning worship begins at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served following the service.
Afternoon services begin at 3:30 with guest speaker the Rev. Larry Wilson from Bethel Baptist Church in Lexington.

Homecoming services at Hill Street Pentecostal

Hill Street Pentecostal Church, 308 Hill St., will host a special revival and homecoming services today and Sunday.
Services begin today at 7:30 p.m. Homecoming will be at 10 a.m. Sunday.
A meal will be served following the morning service.
The public is invited.

Winchester Community Church hosts fundraiser

Winchester Community Church, 123 Franklin Ave., will host a fish fry, bake sale and basement sale today from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sale will be rain or shine.
The fish fry begins at 10:30 a.m. and will continue as long as supplies last. Dinner includes fish, french fries, hush puppies, baked beans and cole slaw. Chili dogs will be available for individual sale or as part of a plate lunch.

Dunaway Methodist hosts homecoming services

Dunaway United Methodist Church, 11840 Irvine Road, will host homecoming services Sunday, Sept. 25.
The Rev. Harold Shimfessel will speak at the 11 a.m. service.
Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.
Special music will be performed from 1:45 to 3:00 p.m. Performers include Jessica Hall and Kentucky Mountain Trio.

Friends of the Poor Walk will be Sept. 24

The St. Vincent de Paul Society’s fourth annual Friends of the Poor Walk will be Saturday, Sept. 24 at College Park from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
All funds raised will help feed the hungry in Clark County.

Seventh annual Wild Game Event

Grace Baptist Church, 5990 Lexington Road, hosts the seventh annual Wild Game Event Monday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. featuring Hank Hough of Kingdom Dog Ministries.
The event is free and open to the public, but a $5 donation is suggested.

Door prizes include a new ATV, firearms and a gun safe.
