A house, a parked car and two law enforcement vehicles were damaged after the same car crashed twice early today in Danville.
Witnesses saw a white Chevrolet Impala speeding down Chestnut Street about midnight when the driver lost control, hit a parked Pontiac Grand Prix, flipped over and one of the two vehicles slid into a house at 450 Caldwell St., Assistant Police Chief Tony Gray said.
Witnesses reported three black males ran from the car, and police were still looking for them this morning, he said.
Police have some information from the owner of the Impala, Harold Feldman, who told them he had loaned the car to another person.
A tow truck arrived to remove the crashed vehicle about 1 a.m., but as the operator attempted to upright the car, a chain snapped causing the car to roll backward into a Boyle County sheriff’s vehicle and a Danville police cruiser. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage but were drivable, Gray said.
