Republicans should 'obstruct' Obama

September 21, 2011

Since the Obama administration has stated many times that it has “saved” or “created” millions of jobs as a result of its policies, I think it’s time the Republicans start putting out to the voting public that it is them who in fact are “saving” jobs by being the “obstructionists.”
The more of Obama’s disastrous policies they can block, the better off we will be. The Republicans need to do a better job of conveying to the public how they (not the Democrats) are doing the “job saving,” then perhaps the voters would understand and appreciate their obstructionism, and that it is not always a bad thing, especially with this administration.
How can the Democrats think that more of the same old failed policies will produce a different result? I wonder if President Obama knows what he is doing and wants to get our country totally down on its knees so that its people will have to come crawling to the government for every little necessity of life. This is a totalitarian or communist dictatorship government. Surely, that is not what he wants, but that is exactly what his policies will lead us into. We can stop it by the 2012 presidential election.
I said of the voters in October, 2008 in a letter to the editor in this paper that it appeared they were about to make a “colossal” mistake and elect Barrack Obama president. They did, and we can now see it was a “colossal” mistake. I know Mr. Obama inherited a bad situation and while the Democrats had total control of the government in Washington, things continually worsened.
And now, since Republicans took control of the House, he (Obama) will not work or listen to them; therefore, we continue down the road with his reckless and disastrous policies — except for those the Republicans are able to block.
So, Republicans, start a campaign in the media about how many “millions” of jobs you have “saved” simply by being obstructionists to at least some of Mr. Obama’s policies.
