Hands off of Social Security
Dear Editor,
Every voter should demand the government pay back the money they owe to the Social Security Fund.
This reveals why Washington says Social Security is in trouble. If it is not paid back, it would mean a default by the U.S. government.
There are a lot of people who didn’t know that our leaders raided the Social Security Fund to the tune of $2.6 trillion and have tried to keep it hush-hush.
Also, I feel this is stealing. They should be charged with a felony.
I have never heard McConnell or Rand Paul mention this. How can they say Social Security is part of the deficit?
There are enough voters on Social Security. If they use their votes wisely, they can make sure that any of the politicians who even mention cutting Social Security will never be re-elected. We need to pay close attention to any of our leaders who advocate Social Security cuts.
By the way, have any of you heard McConnell or Paul say how they are going to sacrifice? They will probably vote themselves a raise soon. I¿feel before they can get a raise it would have to be approved by the voters.
Rand Paul thought he could still have his medical practice and be senator at the same time. That is why I question his qualifications to be senator.

Upset over water bill, service
Dear Editor,
I am so upset. My water bill for August was $50.31, and my bill for September was $114.83. When I asked the woman behind the counter why it was so high, she said they think whoever read my meter last month put the usage into the system incorrectly, so they estimated what my usage should have been and charged me on this month’s bill.
Can you believe that? I turned them into the Better Business Bureau. I am not a happy customer. It is not good enough that they keep raising our rates, but they are going to estimate just because they think that is what I should owe. Not fair. How do they know I wasn’t out of town or something?
To top it all off, they had the nerve to tell me, “You didn’t come down last month to see why it was so low.” Talk about customer service. I was not rude or contentious. I think they don't have competition, so they can treat people any way they want. I have had enough.
