PERRYVILLE — Aubrey Jackson Holt, 99, passed away Sept. 24, 2011, in Danville.
Born Feb. 1, 1912, in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Crow Holt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Baugh Holt, whom he married Aug. 9, 1932, in Boyle County.
Aubrey was a member of the Church of God. He was a retired minister and evangelist. He had been pastor of various churches, including Mitchellsburg Church of God. He once was a member of the gospel singing group known as the Hill Top Trio. They sang at special events and on various radio stations, including WHBN in Harrodsburg. He also was a retired farmer, a former employee of Jackson Chair Co. and a former guard for American Greetings in Danville.
Survivors include three sons, Billy, Marvin and Fairley Holt, all of Parksville; two daughters, Elsie Wofford and Alma Plumer, both of Parksville; two brothers, Allen (Norma) Holt of Junction City and Frank (Dellatene) Holt of Crothersville, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Henry Jackson Holt; two grandchildren, Stewart L. Wofford and Troy E. Holt; two brothers, James and John Holt; and two sisters, Virgie Baugh and Bertie Clarkson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Terry Holt and Bobby Abbott. Burial will be in the Holt family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie, Dean and Rodney Holt, and Randy, Larry and Jeff Wofford.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and Dr. Robert F. Hendrickson.
Visiting hours will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
