Amanda Elliott of Wilmore was awarded the title of Miss Heart of America for Kentucky.
Amanda is the daughter of David and Pattie Elliott of Wilmore.
She will enjoy a fun year of making appearances and being involved in her community. Be looking for her throughout your local area, and be sure to congratulate her on her accomplishment.
The Miss Heart of America Pageant strives to provide contestants with the opportunity to have fun, establish lasting friendships, and build confidence and self-esteem, all while encouraging them to get involved with organizations in their community that benefit those in need. Our queens are involved at the local level with many charitable organizations.
Amanda will be representing her state at the 2011 Miss Heart of America National, where she will be competing for a $5,000 scholarship. The Miss Heart of America pageant began as a food drive for a rescue mission whose pantry was low and blossomed into a national pageant program that has distributed more than 150,000 nonperishable food items to nonprofit organization, collected toys for Toys for Tots, and even collected and distributed much-needed baby items for a Women’s Hope Center.
