Chairpersons for the George Rogers Clark High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter were recently announced. Serving the 1986-87 school year are Brian Beck, publicity; Brian Owen, scrapbook; Deana Coleman, membership; Lori Johnson, ways and means secretary; Lori Baker, Smoke Signals; Dawn Simpson, social; Michele Johnson, newsletter; Christy Taulbee, programs-projects; and Shawn Brown, ways and means.

The First Settlers Homemakers Club met Wednesday at the clubhouse on the Old Boonesboro Road with Ada Mae Dykes, president, presiding. Mary Wynn Barker gave the devotional and 15 members answered roll call with “one thing you want to accomplish in homemakers this year.” The secretary’s report was given by Josephine Hardy.

It came down to the basics Friday night: running the ball and playing defense. As it turned out, the George Rogers Clark High School Cardinals could do no wrong, while the Montgomery County Indians barely managed to do anything right. The result? Clark 16, Montgomery 7.
