Kimberly Sue Treece Wilson, 36, of 134 College St., departed this life Monday morning at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
She is the wife of Joel Wilson.
She was born and raised in Morristown, Tenn., to the late Henry C. and Rose Linda Davis Treece. She relocated to Berea to attend Berea College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music. She served as student music director and was a member of the Black Music Ensemble, and led Bible studies.
She was a skilled pianist and played for Broadway Baptist Church for many years, and also gave private voice and piano lessons to young and old. She used her musical talents to serve the public.
She was a member of Refuge Temple House of God, where she was choir director on state and national levels, treasurer, fundraiser and preached the gospel. She did whatever she could to serve.
