Special events at Corinthian Baptist

Corinthian Baptist Church will host the Usher Prayer Breakfast today at 9 a.m. Hazel Compton, president of the Consolidated Baptist Women Association, will be the guest speaker.

Trinity Methodist plans trunk-or-treat

Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., will host a trunk-or-treat event Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Corinth Baptist 140th homecoming

Corinth Baptist Church, 1405 Trapp-Goffs Corner Road, will celebrate its 140th homecoming Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be a chili and soup lunch, a cake walk, wheel barrow races, lawn mower races, horseback riding and a hay ride.

New Life schedules revival services

New Life Assembly of God will host revival services Saturday at 7 p.m. Homecoming services will be Sunday at 11 a.m.
Blaine Bowman will be the guest speaker.
The Good Time Band will provide special music.

Women of Winchester prayer gathering

Pastor Janice Claypoole will lead an intercessory prayer Saturday at noon at Ark of Mercy Church of God, 240 Winn Ave. The women will pray for the city of Winchester.
Women of Winchester will meet the third Saturday of every month.

Trunk-or-Treat at Church of Living God

Church of the Living God, 114 Franklin Ave., will host trunk-or-treating Oct. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.
There will be hotdogs, chili and a cake walk.
The public is invited.

Church hosting pastor appreciation day

Church of the Living God, 114 Franklin Ave., will observe Pastor Appreciation Day Sunday at 11 a.m. The church will honor the Rev. Thomas Hall and his wife, Lela Hall, who have been at the church 20 years.
The Rev. Chad Craig, author of “The Divine Design for Discipleship,” will be the guest speaker.

Freedom celebration at Ark of Mercy

Ark of Mercy Church of God, 240 Winn Ave., will host Celebration of Freedom Oct. 22 at 6 p.m.
The event will feature Lark Watts, Spud Fisher, Lanita Wright, Jonathan Goodwin and the Ark of Mercy Praise Team, Garvin Ricco Floyd and Sharon Harris.
Admission is free.
