Prep Volleyball: Regional tournament pairings announced

The area’s two winningest teams will square off in the first round of the 12th Region volleyball tournament.
Burgin (24-9) will play Lincoln County (22-10) in the first round Tuesday at Wayne County. Burgin beat Lincoln 18-25, 25-17, 25-17 in the season opener on Aug. 9. The winner plays the winner of Southwestern and Wayne County in the semifinals on Wednesday.
On Monday, Casey County (20-14) plays Garrard County (9-20). The winner plays either McCreary Central or Pulaski County in the other semifinal.
The championship game is at 7 p.m. Thursday.
