Prep Cross Country: Boyle's Ditto gets win at East Jessamine meet

The Boyle County girls had three of the top four runners Saturday and finished second at the East Jessamine-Camp Nelson Extravaganza.
The Mercer County boys had five of the top 16 finishes and won with 42 points, 13 ahead of runner-up East Jessamine.
Emma Ditto won the 3.1-mile race at Camp Nelson in 21 minutes, 22 seconds. Maddy Kriz finished third and Nikki Coffey was fouth for the Rebels.
The Mason County girls had five of the top 12 finishers and won with 36 points, beating the Rebels by a point.
On the boys side Austin Reid of Boyle County was the top area finisher in third place. Mercer took places 4-6 with Bryant Qualls, Jacob Crowell and Dean Tyler.

At Lexington, Kaitlin Snapp of Danville finished 8 seconds behind Sayre’s Maddox Patterson to place second in the Class A-AA¿race at the Kentucky Horse Park.. In the Class AAA race, Alex Bunch of Lincoln County finished third.
On the boys side, Brian Carlson of Lincoln was sixth in the Class AAA race, while Burgin’s Alex Beckerson was ninth in the Class A-AA race.
