Trick-or-treat, Halloween Main-IA set for Monday

Halloween Main-IA will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in downtown Winchester.
Local businesses will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters and all children are invited.
Trick-or-treating throughout Winchester and Clark County also will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

I-64 lane closed for pavement work

A portion of the left lane on Interstate 64 at the 98 mile marker will remain closed until about 7 p.m. today, according to a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet press release.
The lane was closed Friday afternoon to allow pavement work to be completed.

Class of 1948 to meet at Halls

The Clark County High School Class of 1948 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Halls on the River. Those wanting to carpool have been asked to meet at 11:15 a.m. in Shoppers Village parking lot behind McDonalds.

George Rogers Clark Council to meet

The George Rogers Clark High School-based Decision-making Council will meet Thursday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m. in the school library.

Trinity Methodist plans trunk-or-treat

Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., will host a trunk-or-treat event Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Corinth Baptist 140th homecoming

Corinth Baptist Church, 1405 Trapp-Goffs Corner Road, will celebrate its 140th homecoming Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be a chili and soup lunch, a cake walk, wheel barrow races, lawn mower races, horseback riding and a hay ride.

Presbyterian Women host Fall Harvest Bazaar

There will be a Fall Harvest Bazaar at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes vegetable beef soup, chicken salad croissants, fruit, dessert and drink for $7.

All proceeds benefit the mission projects of the Presbyterian Women.

Fisher Family to perform at Bethel Christian

The Fisher Family will perform at Bethel Christian Church Sunday at 11 a.m.
The public is invited.

Hunt Brothers to perform

The Hunt Brothers will perform at St. Andrews AME Church, 433 Walnut St., at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The public is invited.

Trunk-or-treat at First Christian

First Christian Church and First Presbyterian Church are jointly hosting a trunk-or-treat event at First Christian Church, corner of Hickman and Highland streets.

Pizza will be provided.

Costumes are encouraged.

Christian Women host auction, lunch

The Samaritan-Bethany Christian Women’s Fellowship will host a holiday benefit lunch and auction Sunday, Nov. 6 at noon at First Christian Church.
Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Operation Christmas Child donations

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will accept donations for Operation Christmas Child until Nov. 21. Fill a shoebox with gifts and drop it off at the church.
Suggested gift ideas include pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, coloring books, dolls, stuffed animals, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, T-shirts and sunglasses.

New Life Assembly hosts trunk-or-treat

New Life Assembly of God, 2159 Ironworks Road, will host trunk-or-treating from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Truth Project at Grace Bible Church

Grace Bible Church, 117 N. Main St., will present Focus on the Family’s Truth Project Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.

Sunday school workshop at First Baptist

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will host a free Sunday school teacher training workshop Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Refreshments will be provided.
