On behalf of the Danville Church of God we would like to say thank you to the Danville Fire Department and Police Department for their help with our community fall festival on Oct. 31. This was a great opportunity for kids in the community to get to know the firefighters and the police officers who were in attendance.
Not only did the kids and parents get to talk with these public safety officials but they were also shown the equipment and were given an opportunity to go through the safety trailer.
Special thanks to Chief Woody Ball, Lt. Shane Yocum, firefighters Gina Hunter, Eric Bottoms, Brooks Fitzpatrick and Tom Baker for their professionalism. We would also like to give special thanks to Officer Chase Broach for his professionalism with talking with the kids and showing the kids his police vehicle.
The residents of Danville should feel blessed and proud of our fire department and police department for their outreach to the community and their families.
