Welburn “Webb” Bain, 79, passed away Nov. 16 at Saint Joseph Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene Bain; and six siblings, Gene Allen, Anna Mae, Carlton, Noretta, James and Lloyd. He is survived by one brother, Herbert Bain of Nicholasville. In addition, he is survived by his wife; three sons from a previous marriage, Ernest, Donnie and Keith; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Welburn was born and raised in Nicholasville and resided there most of his adult life as well. He was retired from Lexington transit and a member of Northeast Christian Church, Lexington.
Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 19, at Kerr Brothers, Main Street, Lexington. Burial at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens followed.
