Salvation Army seeking bell ringers

The Winchester Salvation Army is seeking bell ringers for the 2011 Christmas season. Bell ringing is the primary fundraiser for the local Salvation Army unit to provide for families in need in Clark County. Anyone interested in participating should contact Shannon Cox at 744-3249 or email cox1828@roadrunner.com.

Parks board to meet

The Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation Board will have a special-called meeting Friday at 5 p.m. at the Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation Health and Wellness Center (College Park Gym).

Free rabies clinic

There will be a free rabies clinic Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Clark County Veterinary Clinic, 116 Hud¿Road. The clinic is sponsored by the Clark County Animal Shelter, the Clark County Veterinary Clinic and the Clark County Health Department.

Vaccinations are free for the first 200 animals.

NAMI hosting Christmas party

NAMI Winchester (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will host a Christmas party Monday at the Victory Heights Center for Achievement, 50 Maryland Ave., at 6:15 p.m. Call 737-3384 for reservations.
