The Kentucky Safety Assistance for Freeway Emergencies Patrol operates seven days a week on Kentucky interstates and parkways. SAFE Patrol drivers are equipped with blankets, shovels, reflective cones, auto fluids and other equipment to get motorists back on the road safely. Motorists can request a SAFE Patrol response by calling (877) 367-5982.

Farm Service Agency ballots due Monday
Ballots for the Harrodsburg Farm Service Agency County Committee (Boyle and Mercer) must be turned in at the agency office or postmarked no later than Dec. 5. Ballots will be counted 9 a.m. Dec. 9 in the Harrodsburg Service Center, 225 Morris Drive. The public is welcome to attend. Elected committee members and alternates take office Jan. 1.
Waynesburg Christmas parade
The Waynesburg Fire Department will have its annual Christmas parade Dec. 3.
All cars, trucks, tractors, ATVs, horses, floats and emergency vehicles are welcome to participate in the parade. Dance teams, bands and walkers also are welcome to join the parade.
Lineup will begin at noon at Double Springs Baptist Church. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. For information about the parade, call Chris Pike at (606) 879-6085 or Jason Peel at (606) 305-0612. After the parade, pictures with Santa Claus will be taken at 3 p.m. at the fire station. The pictures can be purchased for $10 for an 8 by 10 or two 5 by 7s.
Danville Masonic Lodge breakfast scheduled
Danville’s Masonic Lodge No. 28, 400 N. Fourth St., will serve its monthly country ham breakfast 7-10 a.m. Saturday. The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes country ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, pastries, coffee, milk and orange juice. Donations will be accepted. Bring canned goods or non-perishable food items to be donated to local food banks.
Boyle clerk attends training conference in Louisville
Boyle County Clerk Trille L. Bottom recently attended the Kentucky County Clerks’ Association fall conference in Louisville.
While at the conference, Bottom, who has served as county clerk since 2008, attended numerous training sessions geared toward helping county clerks become more knowledgeable about their offices. Some of the sessions focused on election procedures, while others focused on procedures for recordings, and titling and registration of motor vehicles.
County clerks who attended the conference received training credit for the sessions they attended as part of their continuing education.
Country music concerts offered
