Lydia Brumfield: Dec. 5, 2011

Lydia H. Brumfield, 93, passed away Monday, Dec. 5. Mrs. Brumfield was the widow of William A. Brumfield. She enjoyed a lengthy career as a hairstylist in Lexington. Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Brumfield; two sisters, Marietta Wells of Nicholasville and Jeanne Bryant of Berea; one brother, Ben Harp of Wilmore; and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert L. Harp and James Curwood Harp. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
