Charged

— Angela C. Adams, 40, of 323 Colby Ridge Blvd., was charged today with public intoxication and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

— Sophia Walters, 21, no address given, was charged Wednesday with reckless driving, fleeing or evading police and driving under the influence.

Reports

— At 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 362 S. Main St. concerning a theft of medication.

— At 8:38 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 707 W. Lexington Ave. after a known female took a cell phone.

Accident

— At 6:24 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an injury accident on Bypass Road in which Mark Hewson of 105 Camelot struck a pedestrian near Redwing Drive. The pedestrian, 15-year-old Jason Stephens of 615 College St., said he did not see any vehicles before he started to cross the street. He saw the vehicle as he crossed the center line, but was struck before he could go back. Hewson said he had a green light and a pedestrian ran in front of his car. Hewson said he tried to swerve, but could not avoid the collision. Stephens was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
