Transportation Cabinet sets public meeting on Tuesday
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 to discuss the design alternatives developed for the reconstruction of the Interstate 64 and Mountain Parkway interchange.
The meeting will be informal with handouts available with information on the project. Representatives from the cabinet and its consultant, E.A. Partners, will be available to answer questions.
The meeting will be at Conkwright Middle School, 360 Mount Sterling Road.
‘Relentless Warriors’ cancer support group to meet
The “Relentless Warriors,” the newly formed Winchester-Clark County non-Hodgkin’s, Hodgkins, lymphoma and leukemia group, will meet Saturday, Jan. 21 at Gaunce’s Deli and Cafe, 845 Bypass Road. Anyone who has suffered from or has a family member with these types of diseases is invited to attend. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last about an hour.
NAMI Winchester meets Monday
NAMI Winchester (National Alliance on Mental Illness) support groups for those affected by mental illness and their families and friends will be Monday, at 7 p.m. at the Victory Heights Center for Achievement, 150 Maryland Ave. Meetings are free and open to the public.
