Raymond “Ray” Gregory Webb, 58, of Nicholasville died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, Dec. 8. He was born March 31, 1953, in Floyd County. He was the son of the late Thomas Jackson Webb and of the late Elsie Mae Simpson Webb.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Francis Rogers Webb; their son, Seth Thomas Webb, 11; her son, Matthew Bowman Brewer; and his son, Ryan Gregory Webb. His son Robyn Lee Webb and a sister, Linda Webb, preceded him in death.
Additional survivors include brothers Tom Webb, Chuck and wife Carol Webb, David “Red” and wife Kathy Webb; sisters Penny Webb Hassfurther, Dawn and husband David Harrison, Jeannie and husband Roy Labheart; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.
He was a retired carpenter. He loved his family and his friends. He was a kind man with a good heart and liked to help others whenever possible. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and most outdoor activities.
He was cremated through Care Cremation & Funeral Service of Lexington. A private service for family and friends was held at Southland Christian Church, Nicholasville. His ashes will be spread at the family farm at a later date.
We love you and we greatly miss you. We will meet again someday.
