THURSDAY

— The Jessamine County Senior Center, located at 111 Hoover Drive, will host Body Recall, a 10-week program of physical fitness for the senior adult, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. starting Jan. 17. Classes are free of charge and space is limited. Call the senior center at 859-885-9102 to reserve a space. Transportation is available. To learn more, visit www.bodyrecall.org.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a class on downloading free library audiobooks from noon-1 p.m.

FRIDAY

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Jump and Jive at 10:30 a.m.

— The Wilmore Senior Community Center will host Bangles, Baubles and Beads at 1:15 p.m.

SATURDAY

— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Common Threads from 10-11 a.m.

SUNDAY

— Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St. (next to the Prescription Pad), offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Landscapes with e-Motion at 2 p.m.

MONDAY

— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 859-885-9102.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Mother Goose story time at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host preschool story time at 7 p.m.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host JCPL Downloadables Drop-in from 7-8:30 p.m.

— The Frances Asbury Society, located at 1580 Lexington Road, Wilmore, will host two Bible studies beginning in February. On Mondays, starting Feb. 6, at 7 p.m., the society will host a study of the book of Exodus. The study will be led by Dr. John Oswalt, visiting distringuished professor of Old Testament. TUESDAY

— The TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) weight-loss support group meets from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Creekside Senior Apartments, 407 N. 2nd St. in Nicholasville. For cost and more information, contact Donald Wither at 859-312-7455.

— The Jessamine County Public Library will host preschool story time at 7 p.m.

— The Jessamine County Senior Center will host an AARP Driver Safety Program Feb. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is a $12 fee for AARP members and $14 fee for nonmembers. Call the senior center at 859-885-9102 to reserve your space.

— The Jessamine County Ministerial Assocation will meet Feb. 7 at noon at the home of Max Vanderpool, pastor of Generations Community Church, located at 122 Fairway Drive, Nicholasville. Jessamine County pastors, ministers and chaplains are invited to attend this luncheon. Reservations are not required but are appreciated. — AARP will offer free tax preparation for low- and moderate-income taxpayers, with special attention to those age 60 and older, at the Jessamine County Senior Center, located at 111 Hoover Drive.
