Nicholasville-Jessamine County Parks and Recreation inducted nine members into the Jessamine County Youth Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday.
The 2012 class includes Paul Bingham, James Graham, Johnny Dale Hager, Jeff Moberly, Bill Sandlin, Darrell Squires, Flo Walker, Mike Wheeler, and Bobby Day Wilson.
• Bingham has been a fixture at local basketball courts throughout the county, providing instruction, guidance and even refreshments as a volunteer.
• Graham was involved with the Jessamine County youth football program for more than 10 years and the youth basketball league for nearly 20. He has also coached softball for more than two decades and is a player favorite on the softball field.
• Hager has coached football, baseball, and basketball in multiple divisions and levels over the last 30 years. He also worked for the parks and rec department during the 1990s and “has been instrumental in developing and strengthening youth sports” in the county, parks and rec director Duane McCuddy said.
