LANCASTER — Lancaster City Council will hold a public hearing 7 p.m. Monday to discuss concerns about the city’s leadership under Mayor Brenda Powers.
The meeting will be in the Garrard County Courthouse courtroom.
Five of the six Lancaster City Council members asked Powers to resign on Feb. 6 for alleged failure to understand her duties and willful misconduct. Powers responded with a memorandum demanding that City Council members resign for allegedly violating the state Open Meetings Act.
