February 16, 2012

Centre College running back Jonathan Pinque and left tackle Ben Hume have been named to the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2011 All-Commonwealth Collegiate Team.

Hume was a three-year starter and three-time all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference selection. He earned all-America honors in 2011.

Pinque rushed for 923 yards and 10 touchdowns and had 22 catches for 245 yards and two more scores. A four-year starter, he is third on Centre’s all-time rushing list and was a four-time all-conference pick.

Danny Trevathan of Kentucky was named defensive player of the year on the All-Commonwealth Collegiate Team, and Bobby Rainey of Western Kentucky was named offensive player of the year.

The announcement of the team follows the recent introduction of the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame 2012 honorees. The induction ceremony will take place June 15 at the Louisville Palace Theater, as part of the organization’s 10th anniversary celebration June 14-16. Tickets for the induction ceremony will be available March 1.
