Cheer, dance teams shine in competition

On Feb. 25, Jessamine County cheerleading and dance teams rocked it at the Ultimate Cheer and Dance Battle at Lafayette High School.
The various teams received the following honors:
• West Jessamine Middle School cheerleading — first Place, medium middle-school division
• East Jessamine High School cheerleading — first place, medium varsity division
• East Jessamine Middle School dance — first  place, middle-school hip-hop division
• West Jessamine High School dance — first place, varsity hip-hop division
• East Jessamine High School dance — second place, varsity hip-hop division
