Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man said he was robbed at gunpoint at a Winchester motel early Monday morning.
The man, identified as Jeffrey Culbertson of Winchester, said the robbery happened around 5 a.m. when he stepped outside his room at the Value Stay Inn on Revilo Road to smoke, Clark County Deputy Sheriff Paul Howard said.
Culbertson said he was approached by two black men wearing hooded sweatshirts who pulled a handgun and demanded money. The men then took him back into his room and held him at gunpoint while they took a laptop computer, a cell phone, a debit card, a credit card and $1, he said. Culbertson said he was ordered to stay in the bathroom when they left and did not see which way they went.
After they left, Culbertson reported the incident to the manager.
Culbertson was not injured during the incident, Howard said.
