Mercer County Grand Jury indicts 19

HARRODSBURG — The following people were recently indicted by a Mercer County grand jury:

  • Joseph Milton, 56, 216 E. Office St., bail jumping for allegedly failing to appear for a jury trial in Mercer Circuit Court on Feb. 22. Bond was set at $5,000. Commonwealth’s Detective Cindy Hammond testified before the grand jury.
  • Lonnie D. Curtsinger, 50, of Willisburg, receiving stolen property for allegedly having a Kawasaki Mule owned by Steven King on Sept. 9. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Wes Gaddis testified.
  • Zachary W. Stratton, 18, of Crab Orchard, forgery for allegedly having a forged check for $200 drawn on Main Source Bank on Feb. 13. Bond was set at $5,000. Harrodsburg officer Tony Godbey testified.
  • Johnathan Thomas, 24, 141 Curdsville Road, unauthorized procurement of a controlled substance for allegedly using false information to get a prescription for Lortab from CVS Pharmacy on Feb. 25. Bond was set at $5,000. Godbey testified.
  • Ronnie Williamson, 40, of Lawrenceburg, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. April Sullivan testified.
  • Davelle Smith, 39, Boyle County Detention Center, flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Shawna Fallis testified.
  • Richard Rose, 33, 830 N. College St., flagrant nonsupport for allegedly falling more than $5,000 behind in child support payments. Bond was set at $5,000. Jessica Blacketer testified.
  • Daniel S. Patrick, 29, 132 Marimon Ave., forgery for allegedly having a forged check for $432 drawn on U.S. Bank on Dec. 13. Bond was set at $5,000. Harrodsburg Officer Jeff Pearce testified.
  • Barry Thomas Hopewell, 44, and Margaret Hopewell, 43, both of 820 Miller Dean Road, Salvisa, allegedly trafficking in a controlled substance on Jan. 11. Bonds were set at $10,000 each. Trooper Brandon Curlis testified.
  • Jerry Yates, 68, 229 N. Hill St., exploitation of an adult for allegedly taking more than $300 from Margaret Cochran between June 2008 and February of this year. Bond was set at $10,000. Trooper Frank Thornberry testified.
  • Crystal Thomas, 23, 141 Curdsville Road, two counts unauthorized procurement of a controlled substance for allegedly using false information to get prescriptions for hydrocodone and Lortab from CVS Pharmacy on Feb. 20 and Feb. 25. Bond was set at $10,000. Godbey testified.
  • Ron Walker, 43, 515 Scenic Hills, burglary and theft less than $300 for allegedly breaking into the Tobacco Barn and taking cigarettes on Feb. 15. Bond was set at $5,000. Harrodsburg Officer Brian Hislope testified.
  • Justin Williams, 21, 914 McCouns Ferry Road, Salvisa, forgery for allegedly having counterfeited money; alleged possession of oxycodone; and escape for allegedly getting away from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office; all on Jan. 16. Bond was set at $15,000. Deputy Matt Swaby testified.
  • Rexen W. Batten, 27, 344 Barr St., alleged third-offense driving under the influence and second-offense driving on suspended license on Feb. 11. Bond was set at $5,000. Hislope testified.
  • Thomas Pratt, 23, 390 Irish Ridge Road, and Patrick Carrier, 22, 4189 Bohon Road, burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools for allegedly breaking into Ricky Moberly’s home on Feb. 19 and causing more than $1,000 in damage. Carrier also was charged with burglary and theft for allegedly breaking into a building owned by John Mink and taking lumber on Nov. 30. Bonds were set at $10,000 each. Swaby testified.
