Charged
— Christopher R. Brookshire, 37, of 204 Albany Ct., was charged Saturday with leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to notify address change.
Accidents
— Thursday at 3:20 p.m., deputies responded to an injury accident on Clintonville Road in which Kimberly K. Knight, 39, of Paris, was traveling south, and according to witnesses and physical evidence, dropped off the right shoulder and traveled about 107 feet before getting back onto the roadway. She then over-steered, lost control and struck a tree stump spinning the vehicle around. She was ejected out the driver's window. Winchester EMS gave first aid at the scene, and she was transported by helicopter to the University of Kentucky hospital.
— Thursday at 9:57 p.m., deputies responded to an injury accident on Lexington Road in which James R. Taulbee, 42, of 410 Sie Shearer Road, was traveling east and turning left into a farm when Faith E. Dale, 30, of Georgetown, was traveling west and struck the side of the low-boy trailer that he was pulling. There were no brake marks from Dale’s vehicle on the roadway before the collision. Mitchell Burton, 48, of 6925 Lexington Road, and Lisa M. Hargis, 23, of Columbia, were in the vehicle with Taulbee. Clark County emergency personnel gave Dale first aid at the scene and transported her to the University of Kentucky hospital.
— Friday at 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to an injury accident on Colby Road in which Robert D. Brock, 30, of 215 Judy Pike, was traveling west and came to a stop because a vehicle in front of his was turning right into a driveway. He stated that he heard Richard L. Hibbs, 20, of 123 Buffalo Trace, brake and then strike his vehicle in the rear, causing damage to both vehicles. Valerie French, 43, of 123 Buffalo Trace, was traveling with Hibbs. Elizabeth W. Brock, 25, Gunner Brock, 4, and Piper Brock, 1, all of 215 Judy Pike, were traveling with Robert D. Brock.
No first aid was given at the scene, and specific injuries were not reported.
