April is National Child Abuse Prevention month. To recognize National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, the Department for Community Based Services in Nicholasville is holding an event April 14 at City-County Park in conjunction with the Little League “opening day” events.
The event will be a resource fair where local community agencies bring resources for children and families. There will be a raffle to give away a few prizes as well as free candy, wristbands and face painting.
Some agencies present at the event will be All God’s Children, YMCA, God’s Hands Food Pantry, Jessamine Christian Church, Blue Grass Rape Crisis Center, Community Action, Southland Christian Church, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and DCBS.
