Garffie Wells, 67, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Clark Regional Medical Center after a long illness. 

Garffie was born in Montgomery County on Aug. 20, 1944, to Bertie Wells of Winchester and the late Cecil Wells. 

He was a member of the Trinity Church of God in Winchester.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Edith Conn of Mount Sterling, Earney (Faye) Wells, Deanna Albright and Carlene (Claude) Branton, all of Winchester; brother-in-law, Joseph Parra of Virginia; nieces and nephews, Billy (Sandy) Conn, Bonnie (Bryan) Carrington, Patricia (Carl) Kiser, Teddy (Candice) Branton, all of Winchester, Carolyn Conn of Elsmere, Tracy (Tim) Yates of Danville, Tammy Toler and Jennifer (Steve) Lowe of Maryland; and 13 great-nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Clyde Conn, and his great-nephew, Troy Conn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, at the Trinity Church of God, 285 Winn Ave., by the Rev. Billy Keller.

Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. 

Pallbearers will be Billy Conn, Teddy Branton, David Kiser, Bryan Carrington, Neth Jones, Carl Kiser and Bobby Abney. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Brian Andreas, Clark Regional TCU staff, Cleo Chism, Earl Keller, Matthew Curtis Green and Tim Yates.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, at the Trinity Church of God.
