Prep Baseball: Burgin loses to East Jessamine 11-1

East Jessamine roughed up Burgin pitchers Mason Myers and Austin Shewmaker as it dealt the Bulldogs an 11-1, five-inning loss Tuesday at Nicholasville.
The host Jaguars (5-11, 1-2 46th District) got six runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings off starter Myers, and Shewmaker allowed five runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings.
Layth Arrasmith was 2 for 2 at the plate for the Bulldogs (1-11, 0-3). Myers scored their only run in the fifth inning.
