Lincoln County’s Colin Hart, the defending boys regional champion, and Casey County’s Tylin Leigh are the top seeds for the boys and girls regional tournaments, which begin Friday in Berea.
The top doubles teams are the Wayne County duo of Austin Kirksey and Corbin Kirksey, and the Mercer County team of Christy Ingram and Erin Pigman tops the girls doubles bracket.
Seeded second in the boys singles draw is Sam Jackson of Berea, followed by Reza Katanbaf of Somerset, Ryan Martin of Casey County, Steven Glaad of Berea, Ethan Smith of Garrard County, Chris Fuller of Mercer County and Brian Wray of Boyle County.
On the girls side, Mercer’s Caitlin Baer is seeded second, followed by Emily Major of Garrard, Nicole Davis of Wayne, Haley White of Pulaski County, Lincoln’s Kathryn Miracle, Jodi Gay of Danville and Kelby Cowan of Somerset.
Defending boys regional doubles champions Tanner Barrett and Jonah Johnson of Garrard are seeded second. Seeded third is the duo of Dylan Jones and Steven King of McCreary Central, followed by Ben Akers and Ben Kendrick of Boyle, Nathan Sheehan and Jacob Crowell of Mercer, Cyrus Sadrina and Ian Stuart of Pulaski, Morgan Gebert and Hunter Sheegog of Boyle and Clay Cannon and Skyler Wright of Casey.
On the girls side, Alli Tinsley and Haley Owens of Casey are seeded second, followed by Anna Duncan and Sarah Nolan of Boyle, Meredith Frankel and Hannah Frankel of Danville, Madison Southern’s Emily Erwin and Ashley Erwin, Lynn Farner and Rheanna New of Southwest, Alana Perry and Jamie Peters of Somerset and Pulaski’s Haley Stockham and Katherine Stockham.
