HARRODSBURG — A boy was hit by a passing car as he ran to fetch a ball in the street Wednesday.
According to a news release from Harrodsburg police, Alex McCrystal was westbound on West Factory Street in a Nissan Sentra about 5 p.m. when a 6-year-old boy ran into the street in front of the vehicle to retrieve a basketball. Witnesses told police the collision could not have been avoided.
No charges are pending.
Police did not identify the victim or release information about his condition.
