Snyder honored with Foster Award

Local retired broadcaster Al Snyder was recently honored during a ceremony at Asbury University in Wilmore. At the request of the university, Snyder, a 1973 graduate of Asbury, presented his Kentucky Broadcaster's Association Stephen Foster Award for Broadcast Excellence to Asbury University for display in the new communications-arts building. Snyder was presented the award by the Kentucky Broadcasters Association and inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame at last year’s ceremony in Lexington. Snyder is also a past winner of the Country Music Association Broadcast Personality of the Year Award, a former member of the Country Music Association Board of Directors and is a lifetime member of the Country Music Association. Snyder is also a nominee to the Country Broadcasters and Country Radio Halls of Fame.
