Leslie W. Cook, 93, of Eubank, passed away Thursday, May 10, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born May 4, 1919, in Eubank, Leslie was a son of the late Mack and Flora Harmon Cook. He was a truck driver, an Army veteran, a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead Lodge 255 and a member of McKinney Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Eubank Cook after 63 years of marriage; four brothers, Homer, Ivan, James and Ray Cook; and two sisters, Selma Brackney and Paula Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Lee (Marilyn) Cook of Lexington and David Wayne (Angie) Cook of Eubank; one daughter, Sharon Kaye (Jimmy) Wheeldon of Eubank; seven grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Cook, Gayla Cook, Martin (Jill) Wheeldon, Bradley (Julia) Wheeldon, Lisa Anderson, Emily Cook and Matt (Tara) Cook; two step grandchildren, Scott Lewis and Leann Baker; nine great grandchildren, Lucas, Caleb, Dekker, Austin, Hagan and Sadie Wheeldon, Darcy and Eaden Cook and Skye Anderson; and four step great grandchildren, Linzey, Cody, Kenneth and Briceton.
