Sherry Goldey: Dec. 29, 1960 - May 12, 2012

Sherry Jean Goldey, 51, died Saturday, May 12. She was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Lexington to George Coleman Goldey of Nicholasville and the late Doris Jean Baber Goldey.  Additional survivors are two sons, Brandon and wife Shena Woods and Joshua Harness; three grandchildren, Mason, Jayden and Hannah; her fiancé, Major “Kenny” Upton; maternal grandmother, Katherine Baber; four siblings, Brenda and husband Mike Kestel, George and wife Julia Goldey, Mike and wife Cheri Goldey, and Teresa and husband Gary Scott; special friend Bonnie Woods; and other family members. Sherry was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Harness. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wilmore Cemetery.
