LANCASTER — John W. “Jay” Smith, 75, of Fall Lick Road, Crab Orchard, died Saturday.
Born Sept. 20, 1936, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late John Will and Louise Simpson Smith. Jay was a farmer, retired from Bluegrass Army Depot and had served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ballard Smith; a daughter, Lisa Smith (Mitchel) Daugherty, and three sons, Sam, Marty and John P. (Mary) Smith, all of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. service time Tuesday.
