Charles S. “Charlie” Irvine, 91, of Somerset, passed away Monday, May 21, at Central Baptist in Lexington.
Born July 16, 1920, in Somerset, Charlie was a son of the late Layton and Tina Taylor Irvine. He was a farmer, an Army veteran and the widower of Betty Dunagan Irvine.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, George Ray, Carl, John and James Irvine.
Survivors include one son, Don (Nancy) Irvine of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Zachary Irvine of Richmond and Samuel Irvine of Harrodsburg; and one daughter, Joyce Bruehl of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today (May 24) at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill with Bro. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
