Nora Mae Skinner, 94, widow of Elmo Earl Skinner, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Monday, June 4, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio.

A native of Clark County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lona Elizabeth Stephens Hampton.

Nora was a homemaker and attended the Delhi Christian Center in Cincinnati.

Survivors include a daughter, Cecelia Uhlman of Cincinnati; a son, Gene A. (Leaetta) Skinner of Winchester; five grandchildren, Leonard (Sybil) Skinner of Lexington, Nathaniel Skinner of Lexington, Kenny Uhlman of Cincinnati, Donna (Daniel) Schwiegeraht of Fairfield, Ohio and Shane Skinner of New York City; a great-grandson, Danny (Doreena) Schwiegeraht of Fairfield, Ohio; four great-great-grandchildren, Timothy Lee Uhlman, Savannah and Ian Schwiegeraht and Kaitlin Skinner; two sisters, Sallie Haggard and Betty Ballard; a brother, Eugene (Phyllis) Hampton; a sister-in-law, Roxie Hampton; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Nikki and Kane.

Mrs. Skinner was preceeded in death by a son, Ronald Earl Skinner; two brothers, Cecil Hampton and Robert Hampton; and two sisters, Martha Palmer and Reatha Hampton.


Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Scobee Funeral Home by Eugene Hampton and Pastor Joe Price.

Burial will follow in the Log Lick Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Skinner, Nathaniel Skinner, Kenny Uhlman, Daniel Schwiegeraht, Shane Skinner and Danny Schwiegeraht. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Hampton, Steve Palmer, Mike Palmer,  Jimmy Hampton, Ralph Palmer, David Haggard, Henry Hampton and Bobby Hampton.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
