Harrodsburg man charged with robbery and burglary in Boyle County

A Harrodsburg man has been indicted by a Boyle County grand jury for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint in his own home.

Jeffrey Armstrong, 23, of 141 Emminence Lane, is charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary for alleged unlawful entry of the home of Donnie Graves Sr. while carrying a firearm and then threatening Graves while taking personal items from him on April 18.

Bond for Armstrong is set at $50,000, and he remained in the Boyle County Detention Center on Tuesday. Danville police Detective Todd Davis testified before the grand jury.

A Florida man also was indicted on sex-related charges involving a girl who was less than 12 years old when the alleged incidents occurred in 2007.

Steven Francis, 41, of 3226 First St., Vero Beach, Fla., is charged with first-degree rape, sodomy and sexual abuse that allegedly occurred with the female, as an ongoing course of action, from May 15 to July 15 in 2007, according to the indictment. 

Bond for Francis was set at $100,000. Danville Detective A.J. Mullins testified.

Others indicted were:

  • Kathryn M. Alford, aka Katie Steele, 32, of 207 River Crest Lane, theft more than $500 for allegedly taking personal property from Brenda Steele between May 2011 and January 2012; and 51 counts of possession of a forged instrument for allegedly having 51 forged checks drawn on Farmers National Bank in February and March. Bond was set at $25,000. Mullins testified.
  • Brandon L. Warren, 26, of Junction City, Clifton Bryant-Yates, 18, of Bardstown, and Anthony T. Yantis, 20, of Lebanon, each charged with first-degree burglary and theft less than $500 for allegedly being armed when they entered Jessica King’s home on April 7 and took her wallet and cash. Bonds were set at $20,000 each. Danville Officer Brian Adams testified.
  • Deantay S. Ford, 23, of Lexington, alleged second-offense possession of cocaine and being a persistent felony offender on April 4. Bond was set at $30,000. Danville officer Ricky Sellers testified.
  • Tai A. Doram, 20, of 111 Aspen Drive, allegedly trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana, and fleeing police on foot on March 26. Bond was set at $20,000. Danville Officer Adam Harmon testified.
  • Rachel M. Pevley, aka Michelle Pevley, 20, and Isaiah W. Gaitliff, 29, both of 2560 Coconougher Lane, Perryville, burglary and theft of firearms for allegedly breaking into James Pope’s residence and taking firearms on Feb. 19. Trooper Frank Thornberry testified.
  • Joshua K. White, 26, and Kayla M. White, 21, both of 301 Hill-n-Dale, receiving stolen property for allegedly having personal property valued at more than $500 belonging to Ashley Sexton and Travis S. Jette on April 16. Bonds were set at $5,000 each. Danville Officer Kevin Peel testified.
  • Michael D. Allen, 41, of 120 Farris Court, alleged failure to register as a sex offender on April 25. Bond was set at $5,000. Deputy Chris Stratton testified.
  • Tina St. Andrew, 32, of 523 Lexington Ave., alleged possession of oxycodone on Feb. 1. Bond was set at $5,000. Danville Officer Jamie Ferrie testified.
  • Amanda Bennish, 32, of Eubank, promoting contraband for allegedly bringing contraband in Northpoint Training Center on April 29. Bond was set at $5,000. Thornberry testified.
  • Michael D. Brown, 27, of 212 Pleasant Drive, burglary, theft and criminal mischief for allegedly smashing the glass door of the Medicine Shoppe and taking narcotics on March 30. Bond was set at $10,000. Danville Officer Robert Ladd testified.
  • Kelly R. Cole, 38, of Stanford, sexual abuse for allegedly subjecting a female less than 16 years old to sexual contact on Nov. 25. Bond was set at $5,000. Trooper Eric Taylor testified.
  • Steve Douglas, 71, and Tiffany King, 31, both of Junction City, allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine on Feb. 5. Bond was set at $20,000. Deputy Al Isaacs testified.
  • Charles H. Elliott, 43, 451 W. Main St., alleged failure to register as a sex offender on April 25. Bond was set at $5,000. Stratton testified.
  • Amy Gilliam, 31, of Lancaster, theft more than $10,000 for allegedly taking more than $10,000 in cash and lottery tickets from Chill’s convenience store between August and December 2011. Bond was set at $10,000. Mullins testified.
  • Elizabeth J. Key, 37,  922 Rosemont Ave., promoting contraband, trespassing and theft less than $500 for allegedly taking property from Walmart and then bringing contraband in the Boyle County Detention Center on April 7. Bond was set at $5,000. Danville Officer Chris McCoy and corrections officer Tammy Mullins testified.
  • Jamie A. Moore, aka Jamie Keathley, 34, 303 Holladay Drive, alleged possession of oxycodone on Feb. 24. Bond was set at $5,000. Danville officer Ryan Lipscomb testified.
  • Cory L. Mullins, 26, of 1015 Airport Road, allegedly manufacturing meth on Feb. 5. Bond was set at $20,000. Deputy Dustin Clem testified.
  • Linda M. Price, 28, 132 Shearin Ave., allegedly trafficking in oxycodone on April 8. Bond was set at $20,000. Stratton testified.
  • Rose Story, aka Rose E. Cheek, 46, 336 E. Walnut St., alleged possession of cocaine on April 4. Bond was set at $5,000. Sellers testified.
  • Brittany Walker, 21, 301 Hill-n-Dale, allegedly resisting arrest on April 2. Bond was set at $2,000. Danville Officer Sally Bustle testified.
  • Barron D. West, 33, of Beaver Dam, alleged possession of methadone on April 12. Harmon testified. 
  • Rodney Lamar White, 43, of West Palm Beach, Fla., alleged trafficking in oxycodone on April 8. Bond was set at $20,000. Stratton testified.
  • Gary Wilson, 39, 432 Russell St., alleged possession of cocaine and marijuana on March 9. Bond was set at $5,000. Stratton testified.
