One injured in Gose Pike crash

Danville emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle collision Friday morning at the intersection of Gose Pike and U.S. 150, according to a police report.

John Miller, 63, of Harrodsburg, caused the accident when he disregarded a red light at 11:50 a.m. Friday, according to police. Miller’s 2008 Dodge truck with trailer crashed into a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Marjorie Newcomb, 55, of Stanford.

Newcomb was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Lincoln crash injures woman, child

WAYNESBURG — A 24-year-old woman and her 3-year-old child were injured in a single vehicle accident on U.S. 27 Friday morning, according to state police.

Tia Caldwell, 24, of Waynesburg, was driving northbound on U.S. 27 at 10:50 a.m. Friday when she became distracted and lost control of her 2003 Ford Taurus, police said. The car struck several trees and sustained severe damage.

Caldwell and her child were transported to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford for treatment of non-life-threatening neck and arm injuries.

Marion County inmate escapes custody

SAINT MARY — Kentucky State Police are searching for a Middlesboro man who walked away from the Marion Adjustment Center in Saint Mary at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday.

George Wesley Upton, 33, was serving a 10-year sentence for first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer and first-degree fleeing and evading.

Upton is a 5-foot, 11-inch, 173-pound, white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his back, chest, neck and both arms.

He may be driving a blue and silver 1993 GMC Sierra pickup truck, Kentucky license plate number 419-GAE. The truck was reported stolen from 100 Countryside Estates in Lebanon on Wednesday.
